In 2010, Clif Bar renovated and opened its new headquarters in Emeryville. Channel Lumber provided lumber, products and services.

In his description of the CLIF Bar headquarters, President and CEO Kevin Cleary states “We have to protect what we love.” And for the employees of Clif Bar, this means the outdoors. In keeping with this theme, the art in the open, high ceiling office space is made from repurposed bikes, snowboards, skis, surfboards and other outdoor items, all reminders of getting out and enjoying nature.

Sustainability is at the core of the Clif Bar business model. This reinforces Channel Lumber’s commitment to . The facility features many environmentally conscious and green features. Smart solar array panels supply up to 100% of the office’s electricity. Additional solar panels cover 70% of hot water needs. The onsite kitchen uses locally sourced and organic products whenever possible.
