Builders have relied on Channel Lumber for over 50 years of servicing the diverse and difficult requirements in Northern California.  We have found that early involvement in project planning will eliminate costly delays, reduce overall expenditure with value engineering, and material selection.  By working with the Architect and Project Management team Channel Lumber can suggest materials for optimal performance, prepare submittal information and assist with documentation.  Channel has the largest inventory of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) Certified Wood Products on the ground ready for immediate shipment. This makes attaining the MRc-7, and MRc5 credits in LEED® easy.  Please visit the FSC/LEED® tab for a list of FSC Certified Products and the applicable points that they are eligible for the following credits;

MRc-7:

Use a minimum of 50% based on cost of wood based materials and products that are certified in accordance with the Forest Stewardship Council’s principals and criteria.

MRc-5.1(.2):

Use building materials that have been extracted, harvested, or recovered as well as manufactured within 500 miles of the project site for a minimum of 10% or 20% based on cost of total materials value.

IEQ-4.4:

Composite wood and agrifiber products used on the interior of the building (i.e., inside the weather proofing system) must contain no added urea formaldehyde resins. Laminating adhesives used to fabricate on-site and shop-applied composite wood and agrifiber assemblies must not contain added urea-formaldehyde resins.
