Mardi Gras in the Mojave

Resorts | Las Vegas, Nevada

In January 1990, Rio, the first all suite resort opened in Las Vegas. This one of a kind property has 2,522 rooms, and was designed by architect Marnell Corrao and Associates. The property has subsequently been renovated in 2005 and 2007.

Channel Lumber provided products and services throughout construction and renovation of Rio.

The theme of the hotel, as indicated by its name, is Brazilian. Nothing typifies this more than Masquerade Village where, in 1997, the $200 million dollar show “Masquerade in the Sky” opened.

Other onsite attractions include the Penn and Teller theater, where Penn and Teller are in residency. For family fun, you can visit the “Kiss” mini golf course, themed after the famed band. Finally, the Sapphire adult only pool offers the only topless pool attraction in Las Vegas.

Rio has a wine cellar of over a 500,000 bottles and it is the host casino to the World Series of Poker.
